Agnes Preston-Brame was born in Budapest, Hungary. Before earning her Fine Art degree (summa cum laude) at the State University of New York, New Paltz, she studied painting and design in Budapest, Montreal, and at the Art Students’ League of New York. Since graduating she has worked as a professional artist and designer.

Being the proprietor of a successful design business in New York City, Agnes offered her exceptional artistic approach to the textile, wall covering and furniture market for over 10 years before making Greensboro, North Carolina her home. For the last 18 years, she has been the principal of Metamorphosis Design, LLC, an interior design firm located in Historic Downtown Greensboro. Agnes skillfully designs residential and commercial spaces with innovative solutions, in a variety of styles.

Understandably, being an artist not only means being an observer and a problem solver but an attentive listener. Agnes incorporates her clients’ aesthetic desires with their personal and environmental needs. The end result reveals a unique, comfortable, harmonious interior that reflects the lifestyle of the individual client. Her deep respect and understanding of world design, style, and culture allows her to produce spectacular results. Member of IFDA, IDS, BBB.

As an artist she has exhibited in many local and regional galleries as well as in other states, Canada, and in Europe. Her paintings and drawings are in numerous private and corporate collections.
